Don't Dress For Dinner

by Marc Camoletti Directed by Sandie Gasson

Don’t Dress For Dinner is a classic comedy farce written by Marc Camoletti, adapted by Robin Hawdon, an award winning play.

The story line is that of an English couple, Bernard and Jaqueline, who have bought a charming converted French farmhouse in the countryside near to Paris.

Bernard is preparing for a very romantic weekend with his mistress, Suzanne, whilst his wife Jaqueline is away at her mother’s.

He has it all planned – soft lighting, romantic music, booked a Cordon Bleu cook, Suzette, to prepare the gourmet delights and he has even invited his best friend Robert along to provide an alibi. Its fool proof!!! What could possibly go wrong?

As the story unfolds, everyone’s identity gets mixed up with everyone else’s.

Lots of laugh out loud moments, slap stick and fast timing are abundant. This “so called” evening of romance suddenly turns into an hilarious evening of mayhem, confusion and misunderstandings as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed AND at great expense too.

Guaranteed to have you laughing from start to finish, so please buy some tickets and come along to give support. Forget the troubles of the country for a couple hours with this uplifting comedy and help us raise lots of needy cash for the Gosset Ward Special Intensive Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at NGH.
