Mayhem!! Mishaps!! And Murder !!
Once again, the ladies of the Townswomen’s Guild come together to perform a murder mystery play for the entertainment of their audiences led by their strait laced and priggish leader, Mrs Reece. Things do not go to plan as the action is full of mistakes, mishaps, and mayhem. It is hilariously funny, and it is fair to say that everything that could go wrong does - from forgotten lines, scenery falling apart, wrong sound effects, characters not where they should be and many more crazy goings on. During all this chaos and fun, a story does unfold, and there is murder, which concerns the family members getting bumped off one by one with a piece missing from the chessboard that relates to the victim. Thus, the names of the family matching the chess pieces,
Bishop / Knight / Pawn and Rook. These murders are all to do with the reading of the will of the late Reginald Bishop and naturally the greed sets in as to who will survive to inherit the fortune.
There is a small quiz for the audience to get involved with and there will be some stalls of cakes – sweets – tombola – games and a raffle too so lots going on for all to enjoy and participate.
Definitely not one to be missed and is guaranteed to have you laughing from start to finish.
