Past Production Archive

This production forms part of the Past Production Archive of The Charity Players, an amateur theatre group based in Northampton. Since 1993, the group has staged a wide range of comedies, dramas and family shows while raising funds for local charities. Each production brings together local performers and audiences to celebrate the joy of live theatre while supporting good causes.

Get ready for a sparkling, laughter-filled retelling of the classic fairytale! Cinderella, written by Andrew Potter, brings all the magic, music and mayhem of traditional panto to the Charity Players’ stage.

Cinders dreams of escaping her chores and her dreadful step-family, but with a little help from her micey friends and her Fairy Godmother spreading the magic, she’s whisked off to the Royal Ball to meet Prince Charming. Of course, the clock is ticking, and when midnight strikes, the enchantment ends, leaving only a glass slipper behind.

With Buttons’ help, the Prince begins his search for the mysterious girl, and chaos quickly follows as the stepsisters try their best (and fail hilariously) to fit the slipper. Packed with laughter, music, and family-friendly fun, this twist on the timeless tale is a magical treat for audiences of all ages.
