Past Production Archive

This production forms part of the Past Production Archive of The Charity Players, an amateur theatre group based in Northampton. Since 1993, the group has staged a wide range of comedies, dramas and family shows while raising funds for local charities. Each production brings together local performers and audiences to celebrate the joy of live theatre while supporting good causes.

This production of Jack and the beanstalk was performed by The Charity Players in January 2022 at St Albans Church Hall in Northampton.

Welcome to Poddle pud village where the folk are just ordinary happy folk until the evil giant blunderbore & the nasty witch Poison Ivy send the king & his royal subjects to summons everyone of an increase to their rent.

Sadly, there is no money to pay and so Dame Trott has to sell everything, and doom & gloom surrounds them.

As the panto unfolds we meet all the great traditional characters of good & evil along with sneers & cheers and much fun & laughter to help the good fight the bad.

Will they all find true happiness and luck…….? come along and find out.
